Warmfront help no heating for 6 months.

My Nan who is crippled from arthritis is in receipt of pension credits and her heating has been broken for 6 months.
She is eligable for a grant under the warmfront scheme and has used £200 of it so far. She is currently using a gas fire in the lounge/kitchen along with a electric heater and has been confined to these rooms. She is sleeping downstairs aswell at the moment. I have offered her to stay with us but she is reluctant to leave her home.
She has been calling warmfront for 6 months and complaining and has writen letters to relevant people. They realised they had not helped her claim and offered her £60 compensation if she signed a disclaimer to say she wont take it further. She declined.
She informs me that she has now got an appointment in 14 days time for assesment. This is an awful time of the year for her arthritis she feels she has exhausted all areas of complaints. She has called age concern who tell her many pensioners on the isle of wight where she lives are in the same situation.
Is there anyone else whom she can contact? 2 weeks seems a long time away especially given how damn cold it is at the moment.
Thanks

    That does seem really bad

Try age concern or citizens advise to see if they can help, or put pressure on someone?

I would also write to your MP and complain as the elderly in this country do seem to be treated worse than aliens?
