Am so glad you lot like them, thank you all so much for your input. I'd be lost without you all. x x x

Blu, I got 6mm bead caps, 28mm headpins, and 3mm and 4mm silver spacer beads. I'm only telling you if you're wanting to make the same ones as I've made :-) I bought some tools too but that's only because the normal DIY tools that we have are a bit rubbish. It's a fiddly job but I enjoy doing stuff like this.
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

Hi jewellery fan. I've made a single charm for everyone for the wedding meal, men included. We've got half a bottle of wine for each guest and a champagne toast after the wedding so I thought a single charm for each person was a good idea. It was only when I realised that 2 charms are a bit useless in the real world that I decided to make a set of 6 for each one of the ladies. To be honest, knowing that all my guests drink wine at home, it was made easy for me. I have bought some slices of handmade soap so going to cut those up into chunks and put those in the ladies boxes too. I think my favours say that all my guests are drunks and they all stink lol.

    Thanks :)

That's the same as ours, we have 3 wine visits during the meal plus champagne for the toast so it probably would be nice for everyone to have a charm. All our quests (ladies, men, kids) are having the same favour boxes with sweets/almonds.
I think I have some heart charms (our theme) from when I made keyrings etc so I could use those. I hope the men won't mind having purple beaded charms ;)

LOL, same colour as mine. I think after all that wine they won't care anyway :-)

    Lol that's true :D

I was trying to think of ways to add personal touches so I think this is a great idea. I'll run it by OH later but I'll probably do it anyway :rotfl:

Do you have children at your meal? I've heard people putting together a little colouring pack to keep them busy but dont know if they would get used. I think we only have about 8 children ranging from 7 years to 12 years so that might be a bit too young for them

Only 2 kids coming, one will be almost 8, the other almost 13. Might just bung them a fiver each and tell them to leave me alone for the day!

I'm putting together a little pack for my two bridesmaids (my daughter who will be 10 and my OH daughter who will be 7). I've got the free cotton bags off vista print and then I'm putting in a puzzle book each, a dot to dot book (I'm going to buy a pudsy one each so some of the money goes to charity, I've got one last year so need to buy another one this year so they are different), a notepad, coloured pencils, personalised biro, magnetic snakes and ladders, mini connect 4 and a few other little bits and pieces to help them survive the speeches.

For the younger kids I thought some paper, colouring books (cheap ones from wilko or pound shop) and a few packs of coloured pencils on the tables, there's only 2 small children on my side of the family the rest will be older, not sure about OH family as I've only met his mum and one of his sisters (he's 1 of 7).

The venue has a little alcove at the back of the room so I was also thinking of buying Jenga and a few other games for that area and making it a kids fun corner but I'll have to talk that over with OH and the co-ordinator at a later date.
  • I've spoken to OH about all the quests having a wine charm with our purple and heart theme and he thinks it's a nice personal touch :)

Although he can't believe I'm willing the make 60 of them lol it won't take me that long, I have all the equipment and used to make jewellery :)

Thanks OP for the idea :)

  • Where did you get the lovehearts from? I want some for my sweetie table and that seems a good price (and will save me looking around!:D)

Just from ebay :) they're the mini rolls and theres 100 rolls in them. plenty for a sweetie table! They're in a wholesale bag thing. Just a seethrough bag but they're genuine love hearts! :D
