I'm trying to be crafty...

what do you guys think of these??

IMGP1676.jpg

Basically, I'm trying to do my wedding favours on the cheap and you can't get much cheaper than making your own lol. I'm making a set of 6 charms to go in each of the ladies favour boxes and while I'm waiting for the last set of beads to be delivered, I thought I'd ask for your opinions on the ones I've already made.

Honest answers or criticism welcome, anything I can do to improve on them? Most of the ladies are wine drinkers which is where I got the idea of the charms in the first place, I just want to know if they're pretty enough. I like them but I might be biased because I made them lol.

Thank you in advance for your help, I appreciate it loads :-)
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

Blu, I bought all the beads from ebay. Search for 10mm glass crackle beads and you'll find them. I paid £1.69 for 50 and bought 6 different colours. I had to buy the headpins, the spacer beads and the rings too, don't forget those :-)

  • I think our favours are costing around 15p each :) and they are a purple organza bag with silver and gold butterflies on them, with 2 packs of mini loveheart sweets, and a silver key charm in them :) oh and a card saying thank you for attending our wedding.

The bags cost 1p for 50 plus £1.99 postage.
The sweets cost £5.99 for 100 mini rolls with free postage
The key charms cost 99p for 10 (we got 4 sets) and £1 postage.

The cards we haven't got yet, but will be getting them off vistaprint for free :)

Where did you get the lovehearts from? I want some for my sweetie table and that seems a good price (and will save me looking around!:D)
  • I went to a wedding recently and they'd made truffles they were pretty gorgeous. Plus the bride got the groom to make them while she got on with other stuff. They bought personalised boxes off eBay, which said thank you for attending the wedding, etc. Cute as! X

Wow they are beautiful, sure your guests will love them.

We used the free business cards from Vistaprint with a pic of the chaple on to make little thank you cards to go in our favours. Just added our wedding date & then said a gift from us.
