If I switch suppliers to get a better tariff on my electricity supply does the new supplier automatically pick up the payments for FIT for my PV panels as well?

No, you would need to change your FITs reg as well.
But if you are with one of the Big 6, you can leave them where they are-no need to change.
If you aren't, you may have to move it anyway, as only the Big 6 have compulsory FIT's participation.
With the smaller players, it's voluntary-you'd need to be their customer to reg for FITs.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Who are the big 6?
How do I reregister?0 -
BG, EDF, SP, Eon, NPower, and SSE.
It would be easier if you just name your current supplier though...
To change your reg, you go to the new supplier's website and search for the FIT's info.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks for info macman.
Current supplier is EDF
New one could be Scottish Power0 -
So you can just leave your FITs with EDF-no point in switching them, the payback is the same anyway. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
