we now use ferroli - no problems so far...however only seen one installed for just over 12 months...so can't say for sure
just stay away from baxi0 -
Worcester or Vaillant are about the best with Ideal being a good budget buy.0

Avoid Baxi, they have been on watchdog! I think its Baxi - or is it Potterton?
Anyway we have a Glowworm 30CXI - its a great bolier for our needs.0 -
The Worcester bosch is the best option but they will cost around £200 more than others. as a heating engineer I have fitted about 150 Ideal minis and found these to be an excellent boiler with VERY few problems and would recommend them if budget is important.bear in mind you want at least 28kw if it is a combi boiler but a 30-32kw is reccomended as the hot water flow rate will be better.0

The company I work for carries out social housing refurbishment and after trialling many different boilers we have settled on Worcester Bosh, less maintenance issues.0

Hi, I'd go with a Worcester too! The little extra cost is worth it, bought one for my old house and it was great, moved and got a problematic Baxi! My plumber mate also reccomends Worcs!0

I hope its stays that way as I have a Ferroli and it has caused me no end of grief. I've had plenty of little niggles with it but after 2 years the main PCB went and it cost £350 to repair. My advice would be to avoid Ferroli boilers.0 -
Good thread! I am currently having a Valiant ecotec 630 installed. After a lot of research was told the better models are Worcster and Valiant, so opted for the valiant sytem condensing boiler to go with my new megaflo"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0

I'm going to have to install a new boiler before long but I'm wondering if there is a way to check up that a gas plumber is really CORGI registered. Anyone know how I can check please ?0
