    A new one on me.

On investigation it's called the Two Together Railcard and it's 30% off not 50%.

It's a trial. Currently the first named card holder must live in one of these post codes.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

.... However, two Tesco purchased Senior cards work out the same cost (£24) as a network card so I'll probably go down that route.

Interesting, I hadn't spotted you could get a Railcard with Clubcard Vouchers.
I see it's only @ the double value rate and that you can only buy the one year card though. Shame.
Think I'll stick with Plan A after my birthday and buy the 3 year card, but I'll have to keep an eye on the Clubcard deals.
    Thanks.

I bought a 3 year senior railcard for £65 last week. Subsequently I booked an Advance return (first class) trip to Glasgow for £113 using my railcard. I am very impressed as it has almost paid for itself and I travel to Scotland quite regularly, as well as to other places.
