insurance for raising money at Mr T's??

Hi guys,

Does anyone know who we talk to about public liability insurance?

We are planning an event at our local supermarket to raise money for the Alzheimer's society to mark the anniversary of the death of my OH's mum but the shop say we need insurance.

The A.S can't cover us and I wondered if anyone knew where we needed to go next. Obviously if insurance is too high then won't be possible to do any fund-raising in that way.

Thanks in advance
alfie

Really surprised the AS weren't more helpful by suggesting where you could go, try a few insurance brokers, there are some still on the high street but they also work quite well at a distance.

Or google volunteer plus your town / city / area, see if your local voluntary service council can suggest anything.
