advise please what would you offer?

my friend has seen a house - show home on sale. what should she offer? should it be 10% below asking price or do they negotiate more on fixtures etc? i have not bought a house recently so no idea of what would be considered sensible.

  • show homes are failry complicated to negotiate as there are many things that you need to be taken into account.
The owner or agent will i presume want to sell it with all fitting included including carpets white goods and bits and peices. 10 % less sounds a bit stong assuming its a show home. But find out whats incl;uded in the sale first then make a decision based on that.
The builder will want it moved as soon as possible so they can 'close' the developement, and also show homes are a good selling feature when you come to sell in the future.
There maybe a possiblitly to get a cheap mortgage or some deposit paid, but it depends on whats on offer.

if you like it and can afford it, its a good buy (depending on price), you just need to chat to the agent and find out whats what.
