Is anybody a Tracefast Agent or is it a scam?
If you are an Agent, how are you doing?
Is it a good home based job?
If anyone is not sure what its all about the website is https://www.tracefast.co.uk
Any feedback would be great as Im thinking of doing this for a job, that if its real.

I smell a pyramid selling scheme, but that's just my personal opinion. You pay to join the agency and become an agent, then get others to pay you to join, etc."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Looking at the above website the concept (registering your child's details on a CD ROM) looks good. But why do they have to set up an agent network ? That's the thing I don't understand. Why not set up a central office where people can send in the details and get their CD. Having an agent network must involve extra costs with people creaming off some of the money to pay the agents.
Edit.
Looking further at the website I have found this :-
"Every family that becomes a member of the Tracefast Parents Association, as a result of talking to the local agent, will earn that agent approximately
£40
A part time agent working approximately 5 hours per week could expect to introduce this concept to at least five families within that time and so earn
£200 per week."
Don't like the look of it.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Even more research comes up with the information that you have to buy an "agency pack" for £150 to join up.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Does anyone know if I can email Martin Lewis - The Money Saving Expert on this?
Im new so I dont know if he finds things out for you.0 -
Looking at their website the "Tracefast Adminsitration (sic) Centre" appears to be an office building which is shared by a load of ISPs and IT companies.
Even if Tracefast is a legit company I would still shy away from a company which charges £129+VAT to send you a folder of paperwork and sends you out to sell the same to other people. You are pretty sure to lose somewhere in the region of £129+VAT and the friendship of people you try to get to join the scheme. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
Thankyou.
Ive found another website address.Could you look at it please if youve got time to see if it explains the same as the other website or if theres anything that dont seem right?0 -
Sorry, heres the address https://www.tracefast.co.uk.0

I would say that tracefast is the official "company" (use that in loose terms as the URL is registered to a sole trader) website and tracefast6 is a site of one of their representatives (there is also a tracefast7 with a different owner name at the bottom).0

Hi Sugar spice.
I been thinking about the concept too. Nots sure yet but i did see this article on BBC news 24 Website
New missing person card launched
A new device is being launched with the help of West Mercia Police to aid the tracing of missing people.
"The Tracefast card is designed to hold personal information and pictures in order to have vital details at hand when someone disappears.
Officers were consulted over what data was needed by them when a person is reported missing.
The card is the brainchild of David Doonan, who was inspired by the disappearance of his own daughter. "
Sorry dont know how to do direct links.

The idea behind this scheme might be highly commendable, but why go through all this rigmarole of setting up an agent network ? These agents have to buy their information pack for £150 then hawk the scheme round the neighbourhood trying to get £40 for each sale.
As with many of these "agent" schemes there is always an element of moral blackmail where friends and relatives feel obliged to sign up to the scheme. If it's that good , why not set up a central office where people could submit their details and get the card? This is how such schemes as Medi-Alert work. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
