Insulating Conservatory

I have seen an advert where you can have the internal framework of a conservatory insulated by fixing timbers to the internal framework and then insulating the gap. The roof area is then boarded with 12.5mm moisture resistant plasterboard and then skim of plaster.

Has anyone had this done or has anyone any views as to whether this would have the effect of cutting out heat loss in the winter and also reduce the noise for example when it rains.:):)
