Warm Home Help

Evening,

Im reading up about the Warm Home Help (where you get £120) rebate. I was on and do qualify for ESA however I am currently receiving Maternity Allowance (until end of Feb) SWALEC say Im not eligible as not on ESA but I would be if I hadnt switched to MA!!

Is there any thing I can do?

Thanks in advance.

  • congrats on the new baby but unfortunately think swalec are right in what they say. ive been trying to get my 75 year old dad his warm home discount and because his benefit guaranteed pensions credit has the saving element he doesnt qualify. think its down to the fact that all suppliers when processing claims have to ensure customer is in receipt of a prescribed benefit in your case ESA and has documentary proof to show entitlement. they are audited and fined if they put people onto the scheme who dont meet the criteria that OFGEM have agreed on.
