DRO Question
Hi,
My partner and I have been struggling with debt for some time mainly due to the fact that we are both self employed. I work part time from home and look after our son and my OH is a sports coach he has to travel quite far for his job and spends between 250 - 300 per month on fuel (he earns approx 14K per year)
I qualified for a debt relief order a couple of years ago but my car was worth £2000 and my dad paid for it so we transferred it into my partners name and were going to just have one car. Anyway my partner got a different job so we thought our situation would improve but it hasn't, it got worse !
I think that a DRO may once again be my best option but I had savings in my account of £4000 which my dad gave me to pay for my wedding, (small affair) I wondered if that would affect any application of a DRO as obviously they would be wondering what happened to it and why it wasn't paid on debts !
