Error Code 9C48 on Windows 7

When I try to install updates on Windows 7 the error code 9C48 keeps appearing.I do keep retrying but to no avail. What is this code. How do I get rid of it and install the updates successfully. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Is that the only digits of the error, or are there leading zeros you've omitted?

The only digits that appear on the error message are 9C48 nothing else no zeros.

This error is usually associated with installing or updating IE9.

I too am having the same problem. I keep getting Error Code 9C48 when trying to install certasin windows update. It installs some but not all. I have tried Mthe Fix It site but to no avail. Can anyone suggest what I can do please.

I too had the same problem with error code 9C48 over several months. I managed to solve the problem by going into the following web site and following the instructions.
windows.microsoft.com/en-Us/windows7/Open-the-Window-Update-troubleshooter[/url].

Try it as it may work for you (provided you are on Windows 7). You will probably need to put http:// before to get into web site
