Huge congratulations to Lyndseydee :j and HELLO to SuiDreams.
Good to see you here. I'm glad you got on the Olay Trial - I didn't apply as I got on the Bold and Pantene, and, more importantly, I don't need moisturiser.
I'm in again, nothing needed this month, though I'm contemplating a hair chop again.
I was ruminating on how cold I would get cycling down town to the hairdressers but then realised we must have mobile hairdressers, d'oh, though I've no numbers. As a fellow 'sort of' self employed I should support them.
Part of the reason for the chop is that the only hair dye I have in is a Schwartzkopf and they are not generous with the product. Having said that, this one was the princely sum of £2.49 I think, last year.
Definitely a No Spend Month ... I'm paid in 30 day arrears and had an email arrive saying that the pay due in today would be delayed a week. Normally this would be an
Luckily I'd been zealously frugal in January. :money:
My son is on a health kick which has made not buying edible treats much easier, as I know he won't eat them.
I've also joined the clothes challenge as I don't need anything else to tempt me in to spending there either. Bon Marche closing, waah, the bargains but I'm being resolute, I don't need clothing!
UU's will be fairly static this month.
I'm currently experimenting with the Lush Seanik shampoo bar to see how long it lasts if you don't lather it up in your hands as they recommend, but instead rub a bone dry bar over wet hair.
That way, zero product is wasted. Very little lather is produced but hair is very squeaky clean using the normal for me method of working the lather down the straight hair without tangling it.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I must resist the Liz Earle on Saturday - I received a card about it today and 3 of the 5 products will be: Sheer skin tint, C&P, Superskin moisturiser. No hint as to what the other 2 will be.
Catching up with you all and quoting as I go! ST.com are saying that the kit contains 100ml C&P, a full size skin tint plus the sachets, 50ml IBST, Superskin moisturiser (can't remember the size of this) and Exfoliator (again, can't remember the size). I already have a tube of the Sheer Skin tint on the go and I'm still not convinced that it's a wonder product so my money's safe plus I don't like that moisturiser (love the original one though) or the exfoliator. This month's challanges will be:- Use body lotion after my morning shower
- Use foot lotion after morning shower
- Paint my toenails
- Paint my nail on a weekly basis
- Use brow pencil everyday
- Ebay a few items (if they have a free listing weekend)
I've been following this routine too although I paint my finger nails about 3-4 times a week! Anybody know when the next free listing weekend is on Ebay? I didn't manage to sell any beauty products last week - only sold one DVD. Pah!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Tell him amputation is the only cure rosemary!
I have always just rubbed my lush bar onto my hair, didnt realise I was doing it wrong
And I tend to save the wucalyptus Molton Brown for when I have a cold. When i feel like death warmed over it really cheers me and helps with breathing to have a bath in that0 -

The rubbing the bar on to the hair is far more economical, but they also say you can work up a lather if you rub the bar between your palms as you would soap. So you effectively wash your hands with it each time. And use up loads more than you would using it on damp hair.
The keeping the bar bone dry is due to losing so much product after the wet bar sticks like glue to every surface it's placed on.
And if you put it back in the tin damp when it's brand new and the bar only just fits in it, prepare for grief ....
I read one review of a Lush shampoo bar that said after someone had wasted half an hour trying to get it out, they threw both tin and bar away.
I have said this is the last Lush product I will buy, due to their support of an organisation that advocates criminal activities

Congratulations on the arrival of Kieran Lynseydee :j
No movement at present. I am using a lot more handcream because of the weather, really should have bought in the 75ml L'Occitane to work rather than using my handbag one. At this rate I'll be buying one to put in my handbag, and I'd rather not yet!
PYNT in Orly Rock The World - love this colour. Definitely would use a top coat next time though as I get tip wear quite quickly with this formula.
For fellow np addicts, you should check out A England polishes. I have Galahad & Morgan Le Fay, and they are lovely. There's another collection coming out, but going to resist for now. It's funny how I used to think Nails Inc were awesome, and they do have some amazing colours, but after stepping outside my box, I realise how much I prefer other brands. No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

i don't like it either! i tried it from a sachet i got sent and its just so thick. its nowhere near as good as the laura mercier one.mcculloch29 wrote: »I have said this is the last Lush product I will buy, due to their support of an organisation that advocates criminal activities

that was one of the other reasons i stopped buying from them as well as still insisting on using SLS. i completely forgot about it thou! thank you for reminding me, it'll stop all my walk pasts thinking "ohhh they cant be THAT bad! i'll just get one little bath bomb."0 -
Well started an inventry of what I have, only got as far as my everyday Handbag last night and was ashamed at how much stuff I'm carrying around, including - 2 body sprays, 2 mini deo, 2 lip balms - why am carrying around 2 of everything?
Anyway this led to a throw away, A pink lip gloss I think it was a No. 7 but it was so old all the writing had rubbed off. It must have been moved from bag to bag for quite a while can't even remember the last time I used it.0 -
