Itzybitzy - have joined and have sent email with referal details.
Going to try and stick to only getting this box plus any freebies (and trials) plus essentials every month. I am also going to stick to only buying one additional magazine a month (already subscribe to Glamour) and only if its a really good freebie, and definately no Nail Varnishes.
I'm due to get my nails done next week (get file and polish with Jessica Gel colours every month), I was thinking that I when I rebook for march I book for normal nail varnish to give my nails a rest (and give me chance to use up some of the varniches I have at home). What do people think, I think I've been getting the Gel Colours every month for nearly 2 years now. Just have to be strong when I rebook.0 -
Hey ladies, no movement for me. Shampoo & conditioner should be done soon, they're definitely splutterers. I really need to make inroads on my shower gels. I already use them instead of or alongside bubble bars, but I really want to be using sets of products. I forsee my coconut shimmer bb finishing before the coconut shower cream & I'm worried because that worries me! I'll have to just not moisturise I guess!!No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
May INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91
Savings from UUs: £60.50

Have you got a fragrance neutral BB or lotion you can use Sawan, rather than not moisturising? I quite like coconut scents myself, but I must be strong.. Not been in Poundland for ages, they have a coconut BB that is v. tempting and surprisingly good for a quid.
On the clothes front, I stopped myself from going into Bon Marche's closing down sale. All the really good stuff will have gone anyway, plus a lot of it is too short on me. It's getting boring but the purse is healthier.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Hi All
Can I join please?
I am aiming for a no spend year. I have so much stuff in the bathroom that I cannot see myself in the mirror. I am a beauty junkie and it is one of the areas where I could save a lot of money. Last year I spent £40 a month on beauty stuff and I already had 4 shoe boxes of it.
Things to do for me this week:
1 do a clearout - chuck of out of date products.
2 put a bag full of unused but unopened products together for Mum & Sis
3 give away stuff to friends
4 put rest of unopened stuff on ebay
5 paint toenails, eyelashes
6 finally use the last bit of lush face cleanserCC consolidated to £3400

I have found my people!
Can't discuss how much in the stash but it's embarrasing. My biggest weakness is GWP cosmetic events. I love those little jars and bottles. BUT I don't travel enough to ever use them all and I don't wear make up every day because it's not the kind of job where make up is necessary.
I've started to whittle down the stash of body wash by using it to refill liquid soap bottles around the house. Just add a splash of water to thin it down abit and it works fine.
I've also started taking in half used tubes of handcream and bottles of lotion to work and leaving them in the hand wash areas. Nurses love hand creams and don't care where they come from...0 -
Another UU:
Suqqu Frame fix liquid foundation sample - I just found my HG foundation. This was so amazing!!!!! I love it so much. I'm cringing that it's £62 a bottle, but maybe I'll treat myself to a bottle when I finish this challenge. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
