I failed with this challenge in January so I am aiming to do much better this month. I spent £100 on toiletries last month, £60 of that I spent on an Elemis set. In 2011 I bought some Sanctuary facial products that I initially liked until I got a bad reaction so in January I bought Elemis Pro collagen night and day cream and that has really calmed my face down. Love these products shame that they are so expensive. With the set I also got Elemis Pro collagen Quartz mask which is also a great product and a bath elexir that I will give away as a birthday present.

It is quite a shame that Elemis is so expensive. I really really want to try their products, but can't seem to take the plunge. Maybe once I reach a milestone in my stash I can treat myself :)

    Hi,

Another UU today, simple light moisturiser. I would buy again, but have other moisturisers to use up first. I had another simple one in the stash, but it smelled funny when I opened it, so I binned it and went onto the no7 daily moisturising fluid. So far so good.

I also binned my no7 gel cleanser. I don't like it. I prefer things that bubble. So I've opened my S&G clarity face wash.

Got a couple of splutterers too, so hopefully more UUs this week

    Have a great week everyone,

OMG, that's what I'm using too and I hate it! I like things that "bubble" too, I can't wait to be finished with it!

There is a fab Elemis tsv coming up in April - 30ml PCMC, 14 bliss capsules, full size eye serum, full size melting gel cleanser, travel size toner, plus 2 x body products (and it will be under £45) and with a bag ;).

I just threw it in the bin. Not very MSE I know, but better than putting it back in the cupboard and never using it! Xx

Wow,that sounds great:j, I could justify pretty much everything except the cleanser, the body products always make great gifts if I can bear to let them go. I have a melting gel cleanser, I find it OK, but prefer LE C&P (1 in stock) and the Elemis Pro-radiance Cleanser (1 in use and 1 in stock). Thanks for the heads up. I must keep shovelling the loose change into the savings pot in readiness.

  • I have painted my nails just now with Nails Inc Basil Street and then topped it with Barry M Black Crackle. I did shake it well as it was quite gloopy but on some nails it didn't crackle at all

Has this happened with anyone else?

if you have even remotely sensitive/acne prone skin avoid using the melting cleansing gel. it ruined my skin. its still only just recovering from me using that on it for a few weeks. i gave away a full tube of it and a 2/3 full one is on its way to MIL. the main ingredient sends acne prone skin completely off on one.

wow another fantastic thread. I went round the house collecting all the toiletries last summer, and was working through the toothpastes but got lichen planus. The consultant has recommended I use SLS-free tooth pastes. Of course all the half-tubes have SLS :((don't ask, I merely repeat what the consultant said!) so had to buy MORE toothpaste . He recommended a sensodyne one but said 'but that's £4 a tube so we recommend dentalux complex 3 from Lidl' Turns out it's 49p a tube :j Of course now I have to decide whether to chuck the others. Will do a tot up of all the other toiletries I still have left since last July's round-up. I have been very guilty of the pink rose candle thing (sorry i've forgotten the acronym) but this year have been using up my xmas pressies :D still have about 3 more baths from lush stuff.

Really pleased - deleted a BS email today inviting me to have 50% off masks and exfoliators. I was really tempted by the vit E moist mask as still looking for a night cream. I did but a A*ldi q10 one on Thursday and have been using it ever since. I'm not convined though feels quite thick for my skin.

Anyone any tips on good products to use on the splits/hacks on the skin I get at the corners of my thumb nails.

    Thanks
