NW Flexaccount - dodgy statement archive?

Does anybody else find the archive unreliable? Before they changed the website it seemed to be fine. Since then I find I sometimes can't download statements.

This afternoon I was trying to download my statements from 2011. I can only download March, November and December. For other months it gives and error "The statement for this account is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

It doesn't seem to be simply a question of the site being busy. I returned a little later and again could only download those three statements.

The account has been in use all the time - there is no particular reason why those statements are unavailable.

I've had this before with the exact same error. Sometimes I have to retry 3 - 4 times before the statement is retrieved. I normally leave about 5 seconds between attempts so maybe it is some kind of "server too busy" error?

I also don't understand why it takes so long to retrieve a statement when other banks like First Direct can retrieve statements from 2006 instantly. I do understand the former retrieves the PDF of the actual statement you were sent/posted, but personally I prefer to just see the transactions, so text is fine for me.

Thanks... now tried several hours later and still the same statements can be retrieved and the same cannot. So my (current) issue seems more "sticky".

It seems random as to which ones have the problem. Some from each year in the archive are available, most are not.

Apparently they are aware of the problem and trying to fix it!
