Switch supplier= 25% increase on motnhly payments
I am currently with Scottish Power and looking to move suppliers (funny how most of them only seem to be offering fixed rates now!!). I pay by monthly direct debit, £130pm and still get a +ve balance at the end of the year.
I've looked at the switching sites and have found I can save about £10pm, but here's the crux. If I sign up now, I have to pay 25% extra monthly to build up a slush fund during the winter months. So, I have to pay £150pm, in effect a massive increase.
I have provided the annual usage figures provided by SP, so I am not estimating my usage, merely providing factual information. It seems I only have 2 options. Stay with SP (whose customer service I detest) or allow my current deal to run out, take the increase in cost and wait until April time to avoid paying the surcharge.
It all seems just a little bit wrong to me!!

I seem to recall several months ago BG offering a new service where you can chose the amount of your DD.0
