What other Distance learning establishments are there?

Other than OU what other recognised distance learning establishments are there, ones that are recognised and accredited??

Comments

  • Depends what you want to learn. Many Universities offer degree's distance learning and many colleges offer A Levels / BTEC's etc via distance learning. If you know the course you want to do, just google it. IE A Level Law distance learning.

I'm doing my Law A level with ICS. My exams are still with AQA.

Yes, your question is too vague, if there is a specific course you are interested in then people may be able to make suggestions.

My boyfriend is currently doing a distance course through Oxford College - they do A-Levels, fast track A-Levels, the Level 3 Diploma and HNDs. They are mostly accredited by Edexcel, and a lot of their courses are also institute accredited too (ie; Chartered Management Institute).

My friend is doing a distance learning degree through RDI - they offer actual university qualifications by distance learning.

I know her degree is awarded by Anglia Ruskin University but I think they work with others too. Might be worth a look?

I did my degree via distance learning with the University of London, they do a wide range of first degree and post grad courses.
  • Sorry about being vague, i come from a Health background so something around these grounds, many companies i have found are private, i was hoping for mine to be funded as I'm a full time carer.
  • I'm looking into Distance Learning Courses and have come across a few accredited private organisations you may like to look at though I am not sure the full extent of their course ranges. You may want to look at The Learning Institute, Courses Direct, Learning Curve and The Open Study College. It may be worthwhile checking out The Open and Distance Learning Quality Council and The Association of British Correspondence Colleges (you can google them for their website) as I believe they have a list of all the organisations who are registered as 'accredited providers' with them.

    Hope this is useful.
