what about Disneyland Paris
http://visit.disneylandparis.co.uk/disabled-visitors/index.xhtml
they seem on paper very good with there disabled guest's with the added bonus of discount tickets and free helper tickets to the park
Have a fab trip wherever you roam to0 -
Perhaps a trip to Brittany in France would suit. There are ferry companies who offer packages.Something Really Interesting0

How about a cruise from southampton. We just done one round the canaries. There were a few severly disabled children with there families. I would imagine much easier than flying as theres no hassle at an airport. Just park the car , clear customes etc and your on the ship. The families looked liked they were having a great time, and the staff were fantastic with helping them. Its all slopes and elavators, wide roomy isles, they even had disability hoists to get people in and out of hot tubs and swimming pools.
The ship was indepedence of the seas with royal caribbean.the theatres etc have adequate front row wheelchair spaces.0 -
Thankyou all for the ideas the cruise sounds nice think im going to do a bit more research on that:happylove0

There are some specialist forums on Disney Bopards about travelling with differently able kids and adults - The US are particularly good at helping, but don't dismiss Disney in Paris - you should be able to smooth out any bumps in the road.
google "taking a disabled child to disney"
I am sure they have seen it all before - and with preparation - flying may be possible as well - although insurance could be tricky.0 -
What about a static caravan/mobile home using a company such as Keycamp/Eurocamp etc. You can take your own car and you have plenty of space.0

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
