Considering a Blackberry Playbook...upgrade advice

Been looking out for a tablet in the sub £200 price range and the Blackberry playbook seems to fit the bill.
I was talking to my colleague who seems certain a software upgrade is due out any day now to make the playbook better.
Can anyone please enlighten me as to what improvements there will be in this upgrade?
