Dentists in South East Wales

Hi MSEs.
I have recently moved to Wales and am having trouble finding a dentist. Can anyone recommend a good one anywhere in the Chepstow area? I'm willing to travel as far east as Bristol or west towards Newport or up towards Usk if necessary.
The main criteria are for a gentle dentist who will not recommend work unless it's very very necessary. (I hate going to the dentist and haven't been for around 3 years, and I'm terrified :eek: ).
Any suggestions welcome. Private (if they do pay as you go) or NHS, I'm not bothered, as long as they're nice.

A good friend of mine is a dentist in Caerleon. I'm told he's excellent and he always seems particularly proud of his cosmetic work.

I've no first hand experience of his work but he is certainly a genuine and lovely bloke. I can honestly say that he's not the sort of chap who would recommend work that wasn't required. He's as honest as the day is long.

My own dentist is in Cardiff and by coincidence is another friend of mine. He is similarly extremely good. Sounds like Cardiff might be a bit too distant for you though.
