still time to get solar panels at old rate?
I just had an email from some company called 'the eco experts' and its says as below :
Government Solar Incentives Double - Install by 3rd of March and Earn £1500 p.a. TAX FREE!
Receive a GUARANTEED 25 year government backed, tax free incentive
Newly introduced government rate allows for ROI equalling 10 %
Get paid 43p for every unit of electricity you generate
i thought that the old deal was off the table and despite the various course rulings and appeals, it was not an option to get that old rate etc anymore?

It's currently the 43.3p rate for installs before March 3rd. This IS subject on the success of an appeal to the supreme court. All installs since December 12th should assume 21p until the outcome of this appeal is known.0

thats what i thought - obviously these guys are not being totally honest and maybe just fishing for leads.
I regret leaving this till year end and hence being hijacked by the goverment but have now assumed i simply missed the boat0 -
From their website....
* The solar industry is confident of a return to the higher rate as the government lost its appeal, but because a second appeal is likely we cannot guarantee it will definitely be available0 -
Very naughty of them stating the higher fit rate, but you can still get a 10% ROI with the correct facing roof as install costs have dropped a lot. A 4kW system (around 25 square metres of roof space needed) at around £8,000-9,000 would generate income/savings of around £800-900.
Unfortunately smaller systems don't return so well. I was going to put a 1kW system on my roof; also waited for too long and now it's a 17 year payback. Maybe on the next house.0
