  • I just read this after starting another thread. I'm just having a bad Selective International service at the moment.....
  • Hi, This is No-Re5erve we have changed our ebay name to
bargains-and-logistics We stil do courier work price is £4.50 for PF48 upto 30kg and £5.50 for PF24 upto 30KG. We have stopped most sales on ebay as we have a massive regular portfolio of customers from ebay who keep us busy
but don't mind a few extra, ANDIEZDEALZ use to book there jobs through us over Xmas and New Year (check there feedback from us at time) but later tried to Knock us for almost £2500, so can not say nice things about them lol

    Mortgage-free Glee!
The couriers cream off the best runs...... I dont know how many items on ebay I have not been able to buy because either the charge is thrice the "original price" or they dont do my post code! I have been stung on many occaisions where the poster states postage as blah blah only to be asked to pay blah squared as they didn't think any one from here would buy! (Excuse me but I think us in the sticks have MORE reasons to shop online!!)

I bought something from the book people at a great price price but had to have it delivered to family members as they dont deliver here at a decent price, it had water damage, though it was dry by the time I got it ( weeks later, i dont get away often!!).... the pages were all wavy !!

Couriers too have thier problems.... last year I lost a box of wine ..... another item arrived a soggy mess.

Royal mail may have its downside, but they do cover the whole of the British Isles!!

Rant over .......OH ..... not totally impartial as I work in a small PO!!!!!

We've used Selective, No-Re5erve30 & AndiezDealz via eBay without any problems except that No-Re5erve30 & AndiezDealz had problem with their Parcelforce accounts topping out over of their limits.
We then started using Selective who use DHL

All collect & Delivered in good time, no need to use Parcel2Go or Interparcel as these guys are at least a 1/3 cheaper.
So basically any of the 100's of packages we take to the post office each week which are going to cost more than £4.00 go via courier
  • What happens if your parcel gets lost? I have had no end of trouble claiming from 3rd party couriers, but have always got a full refund from the Royal Mail. I obviously don't post as many parcels as you guys, but in my experience, 3rd parties are rubbish at dealing with problems.

    Hi
Your post sums up the reasons I point out in my OP.
Some intresting points are being made about couriers which are justified.
I do hope some of us can see the benefits of using these couriers instead of
giving huge amounts to the Post Office.Long may it continue.:money:

if you are talking about selective2007 their customer service isnt that good...

and 97% feedback from a powerseller isnt great either...there are others out there better.

i agree with you...i ahve used him quite a few times...reasonable price and items do reach...but very poor cs and absolute lack of communication
  • I don't think i will be using selective again. It is now the fourth day after my first item was to be picked up and everyday i have had an email fron Kevin telling me that it is rebooked but no one turns up. I've been sitting at my desk from 0800 to 1800 for the last three days waiting and it is doing my head in. It is a central London location so not really out of the way.

Anyone got any reccomendations to send international packages? - I've got a 2.5kg package to Italy and a 5kg package to the USA.
