Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

I wonder if the clue is in the phrase "whatever comes up"!

Whatever the reality behind it, it can't possibly be a bona fide job advert and so it's surprising that the Guardian are allowing it to run indefinitely. They're supposedly a responsible and ethical publication and have some quite stringent advertising T&Cs (http://www.guardian.co.uk/advertising/advertising-terms-conditions) including that ads are "legal, decent, honest and truthful". Asking people to waste their time applying for a vacancy that doesn't exist (or is never going to be filled) doesn't seem very decent/honest to me.

I saw this recently in my local paper, the kent messenger. How odd!! Perhaps they are branching out into locals because they have exhausted the big papers. anyone heard anything yet?

I reckon its going to be an agency that recruits carers. Its just a case study advert saying you could be working with an old writer something along those lines.

Not heard a dicky bird yet. I hoping that it is indeed a recruitment advert for MI5. Perhaps we will be told to meet up with a man wearing a raincoat with a red carnation in his buttonhole and a copy of the Times (or should that be the Guardian) under his arm and to exchange secret code words!

Listen you lot on here ! I'm a disabled writer living in Nottinghill Gate, for some years now i've been trying to find a reliable home help. Quite frankly the standard of each of the applicants has been appalling. Despite all this time searching i haven't found anyone suitable. Now over the last couple of days i've been inundated with false emails and my investigations lead me to believe this harassment has been organised from this Mse site.
    Please stop your childish behaviour.

Perhaps it really is an author who writes chick lit. She gets you in for an interview, you tell her your life story, that's another best seller and you weren't successful on this occasion, sorry.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Or gets you in for an interview and you're never seen again! :rotfl::eek:
