So the Guardian tipped MI5 off after my enquiry and they pulled the undercover 'spy' advert.................
No reply to my 'genuine' application either, although I am officially too short anyway!0 -

Hardly any jobs at all advertised this week Saturnalia . . . not sure it's worth forking out the £2.10 if you don't have to . . . .
£2.10?? Where do you buy your Guardian? Mine only costs £1.20!0 -

This thread must be the most surreal I've ever seen on MSE.
What if it's aliens trying to attract human guinea pigs fitting certain criteria for some kind of experiment?
Maybe they only reply to those they need at the time (i.e. they have too many of your gender/age/education level etc etc?)
again the would not want to attract attention and they pulled the ad...0 -

Glad to see you are finally not taking this too seriously... :T
Personally I think it is unlikely that aliens will be advertising in the Guardian - surely they would have gone for one of the tabloids.0 -
Someone on the (now defunct) Guardian forum applied for this job, and met the lady in question. I don't remember the details, but it sounded like she's basically a nightmare to work for.0

An internet search brings up mention of PD James as a possible name, and she lives in Notting Hill Gate.0

I don't imagine for a moment that one person will have advertised every week for years and years. It has to be an agency of some sort and I'd assume a fairly open, loose agency of some sort..0

Or maybe that was just an MI5 operative who was told to post to the forum to throw people off the scent?0
