Intrigued by long-running advert in Guardian: Home help needed for female writer...

It could just be this lady has a team of carers and keeps the ad running in case she needs a replacement carer-especially if she absolutely relies on them and has no one else-I cant imagine it would be very nice if she had to wait for applications/interviews/CRB checks to come back and have no carer.
Either that or its an agency.0 -
I have just read the whole thread and I am still none the wiser about what actually happened with the " meet up ". Odd.8k in 2015 Challenge ( #167)0

havent been here for a week or so, didnt see the point as when me and GumbyS applied for the job and told you all about our disgusting and upsetting experience with this woman, the post were removed.
we didnt put anything but the truth on here and for some strange reason the posts were removed.
i only joined the thread to make contact with CopyCat2012 who in earlier posts said they also had a bad experience, i suspect CoyCat2012 had also put up information bur it was removed.
for those who joined the thread recently and could not read about what happened when me and GumbyS applied for the job, it is because we put up the details of our aweful experience and the further info we found out about the woman and it was all removed off this thread - without us being contacted.
it is not an agency or hoax, or a woman that needs a team of helpers etc.
its all down to many people apply for the job but none of them stick around, its all down to 'the genuine employer', i am just reluctant to put the info and experience that me and GumbyS had on here again as it will just be removed like it was last week.0 -
This was a fantastically intriguing thread up to about page 8 that generated genuine mystique. Reading it from the beginning, I could feel the creepiness of the situation, the sense of foreboding that had pervaded the beings of Miss P and GumbyS.
Shame, then, that the whole thread was ruined by over enthusiastic goodie two shoes like duchy and Errata who are claiming that two innocent and vulnerable young women, hounded by a mad, anonymous and totally unidentified person, who had access to ALL THEIR DETAILS, were stalking a victim. There are only two victims in this story - and they are the two who unsuspectingly applied to this nightmare job role. We all deserve to hear the truth about what happened when this pair met up and tried to find out more about this danger to society.
Even if this lady is mad and has mental health issues, her anonymity remains guaranteed and we should be glad that strides have been taken to find out more about her and help her. Remember, noone knows this lady and if she needs help, she needs help.0 -

Hear! Hear!
I would also like to know what happened, hate a story ending so abruptly and not knowing who dunnit“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

If I remember correctly, they said they went to her house and chatted to her neighbours who told them that she is indeed a lady writer who hires assistants, but that she is also a very difficult and demanding person so her assistants never stay long.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.

All I kept seeing was Norman Bates dressed as his mother with a kitchen knife in his hand.
Fascinating thread, shame about the deleted posts, but well done all the same.0 -
