  • For some reason I thought the Sky showing was a red carpet showing which was why it said 18:15 film start 19:15, as it happens there were still seats available in the cinema at the films start! Why they had to have the lights down for the hour before the film started I'm not sure, it meant that I couldn't read my kindle while I waited, as I haven't got a cover with a light!

Norwich Odeon set up a little stand inside the cinema which had bottled water, bags of popcorn and bags of sweets, we thought they were going to be given out to us as has happened at Virgin screenings, but no, they were for sale at £3.00 a bag/bottle or bag of sweets, or all 3 for £6, never seen that done before but at £3 each I stuck to the packet of minstrels and bottle of juice thatI had smuggled in, lol!

I was really shocked that my screening of Dark Knight Rises was only about 70% full
Admittedly it was the front rows - but still at least a hundred seats I reckon.
Considering all the hassle I took to get tickets.

Loads of security - asked for id, phones and bags checked, given a 'lecture' before film started saying if they suspected anyone of filming it, they would stop the film and remove the offender.
Told would be security with night vision glasses watching us throughout the film - and sure enough there was at least 6 I spotted from my seat scattered up and down the walkway.

I have to say, when I got to TDKR screening in brum yesterday and found out it was nearly 3 hours long I was a bit worried about the film dragging on but the film was absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed the whole thing. We also had lots of spare seats at the front, at least 40, but then it was a 400 seater cinema. Never been to Empire before and was dead impressed.

Can't believe how early Ted tickets got released this morning. Couldn't get Birmingham but managed to get Coventry tickets, it's about the same distance for us. Does anyone know what the parking is like for Coventry odeon? Thanks :)

There's lots of parking in Chaventry, whether its directly at the Cinema or around there.

Oh My Batman saw the Sky Screening in Belfast last night AMAZING. Guessed the 2 surprises though at the beginning will not spoil it for anyone. Joseph Gordon Levitt stole the show for me Bane and Batman were amazing not sure about Ctwoman. Some very touching moments during the movie as well.
I was given the tickets by someone as they couldn't go last minute we printed off the ticket the email they were sent about id or letter from person and a letter from the original ticket holder. The girl queiered it when we give her all this and we had to tell her what SKY had told us even though she worked for them staff obv not briefed. her words were There better not be other people like this cause I am not doing this all night which I though was a bit rude she said it was cause people printed numerous copies of tickets but I explained again we had done everything they asked. Thank God we were first in the queue or we possible may not have got it. The cinema wa full

There was a minor problem at midnight when the tickets were released, but I'm sure that was just due to the website being overloaded with people trying to log in.

It took me 3 or 4 attempts before it went through to the next page correctly, previously failing with a similar error message (on a "new" page) about account details BUT with some HTML webpage code displayed as well.
It did take about a minute (maybe more) before the error and I'm sure this was because of a timeout type issue.

The message you get appears on the same page below where you enter your "Virgin Media account number" and "Postcode" - to the left of the CONTINUE button ?

Are you typing in the details or using COPY & PASTE ?
Just sometimes a spurious SPACE causes grief and the default "double-click" on a word usually picks up the trailing "space" - wondered if it was something similar

Having said that, the "space" doesn't seem to be the case here from what I can see - I've played about with extra ones and it always seem to be quite happy.

Also tried upper/lower cases, mixed case and no space

    AA12 1AA, aa12 1aa, Aa12 1aA, AA121AA

The one thing it doesn't like is something I frequently use when writing my Postcode is a HYPHEN

AA12-1AA = "Oops! We don't seem to have an account that matches these details. Please try again."

The "front-end" checking on the 2 input boxes is "SIGNIFICANTLY MINOR" :rotfl:

ANY 3 characters prevents the "Please enter a valid Virgin Media account number" error
ANY 4 characters prevents the "Please enter a valid Postcode" error

The checking for a mobile phone number is better - at least it appears it HAS TO BE 11 numerics starting with 07
(This doesn't like a SPACE on the end, or anywhere for that matter, BUT it does fail immediately and responds with "Please enter a valid Virgin Mobile number")

Which Account type are you? Virgin Media or Virgin Mobile ?
Any chance you are entering a postcode slightly different to that on your Virgin account ?

    Hope this helps :)
