The voting was arranged by Cineworld on theur Facebook. This has happened before. and happens for previews held in the United States too.
Vote for your city to have a film shown.
Then sky issued tickets to the towns that won along with competition winners that won through Cineworld.

Lol! That's why I never saw the vote!

Norwich hasn't got a Cineworld, so would have been no point me voting anyway!!!!:rotfl:

  • What a nice surprise to be given a free copy of the book when leaving the Salmon Fishing freeview. Straight onto to Green Metropolis, of course, cos I read it as a proof before it even came out *hem hem* - but well done the distributors. Can we have more appropriate linked-in freebies when we go the cinema, perhaps? An Airfix kit for Avengers ASSEMBLE, and so on...

We got our free book on the way in, 1 between 2 :j:j But fed up of people coming in after the film has started then start shining torches and standing declaring loudly "There's no seats left!" The film starts at 10.30 sharp so to turn up at 10.40am and then be a pain in the neck to the viewers already seated and watching a film is VERY annoying. Done my feedback about it in Other Comments too.

    Marvel’s Avengers Assemble

Went to a first ever fan screening, at Shepherd Bush Vue, last night, i went on a friend tickets.

Phones were handed to sercurity and ticket holder had to show ID.

Really good event, a few peeps, turn up as their fav super hero.

Lots of action, and Iron Man is witty as ever!

    It was showed in 2D.

Would pay to see it at IMAX :T

Hi Ben, we were also given a book (one each). The cinema was Odeon and the tickets were issued through Showfilmfirst . I think it was the Mail - but must admit I didn't take much notice.

Groovee - people were arriving at our screening 30 mins+ after the film had started and having to leave because it was full (after climbing the stairs and looking for seats!). I would have thought that staff could have realised that the screening was full, by the number of tickets they had taken in or even by the number of books they had given out, and headed latecomers off before they disturbed everyone else.

Still, really enjoyed the film and look forward to reading the book now :)

    http://www.showfilmfirst.com/pin/968661

It will be the first time that I have gone to a preview, apart from printing out the tickets and turning up is there anything else that I need to know, do or take?!

Many thanks in advance for your help

Turn up at least 30 mins before the film starts
Take your own sweets and drinks
Give your ticket to the person who collects the tickets normally
Some cinemas ask for ID - tho I've never been asked
    and lastly...
    Enjoy :)
