Went to see Saving Mr Banks last night. Really enjoyed the film - great story, excellent casting, funny but sad at other times.
One of those rare moments at the end, when the audience did not rush out as soon as the credits started rolling.
Has made me want to watch Mary Poppins again!
Made me want to read the book:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

At the end of Philomena, all I wanted to do was go out and punch a nun! :mad:0

Reviews are not very good, and reading up on storyline, I am not into X factor etc so thought it might be a waste of a night.
Hope you do enjoy it if you go, 90% of the film takes place before the britains got talent part of the story0 -

Hi, The Old Bag,
My husband and I saw One Chance last night - he had low expectations of the film but afterwards said it was better than he thought it would be. I like the 'feel-good' genre and this film was satisfyingly heartwarming. :heart2: (Am probably putting you right off it.)
Some of the scenes were filmed in Venice - very picturesque on the big screen.
If you're still undecided about seeing the film, do as they did in one scene and flip a coin - best way of making decisions!0 -
I saw Saving Mr Banks on Sunday brought childhood memories rushing back....
Saw One Chance.... couldn't believe it comedy of Errors Paul's life was.... I had to recheck if he really had the car accident( not giving away anything they showed the clip on Graham Norton's show already) worth watching even if you don't like BGT that was only maybe 5 min of the whole film
Saw Gravity today wow what a film we turned up late and were pushed to sit right on the front row.... best seat for this type of film. Because it was in 3D we both thought we were part of the film and were flying in space with Sandra Bullock, shame Clooney was going to end up with Sandra, surprise her in the end and say I caught the bus 25 lol (Worth sitting in the from row for the shear experience)0 -
Really enjoyed GRAVITY although the music was far too loud and I ended up with a headache. Glad I took 3D glasses for us as there were none given out and many hadn't realised it was 3D so had to slip out to get glasses after the film started!Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

PARKLAND is the heart-stopping and powerful true story, never before told, of the people behind the scenes of one of the most scrutinised moments in history. Written and directed by Peter Landesman, PARKLAND recounts the chaotic events that occurred in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963, the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. PARKLAND weaves together the perspectives of a handful of ordinary individuals suddenly thrust into extraordinary circumstances: the young doctors and nurses at Parkland Hospital; Dallas’ chief of the Secret Service; an unwitting cameraman who captured what became the most watched and examined film in history; the FBI agents who nearly had the gunman within their grasp; the brother of assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, left to deal with his shattered family; and JFK’s security team, witnesses to both the President’s death and Vice President Lyndon Johnson’s rise to power over a nation whose innocence was forever altered. Based on the book Four Days In November, by Vincent Bugliosi, PARKLAND is produced by Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman along with Exclusive Media’s Nigel Sinclair and Matt Jackson, and Bill Paxton.
