Just cancelled 3 tickets for One Direction in Cardiff tonight with Sky.

We seem to be having an increase in people asking for tickets.

This is against MSE rules unfortunately.

Please can we not post these requests.

Please clarify this:

Asking for people to let us know when they cancel tickets is not asking for tickets and not against forum rules as it does not involve swapping personal details.

Just want to check it wasn't me breaking forum rules. Thanks.

It's directly asking for them, as in getting someone to email them to you, as this needs personal details being swapped

Asking to be informed if someone returns them is acceptable, as this doesn't need personal details to be swapped

No it wasnt you, asking to be notified of cancellations is fine.

Actually asking for tickets is against mse rules.

I'm sorry but this is being pedantic and actually annoyed me. I'm probably kicking the hornets net here but what the hell.

Perhaps the people who setup and run this site should have thought about this BEFORE setting up a login system where people can setup accounts with their facebook account and then chastise users when they ask this is tantamount to bigotry. If they were truly worried about people exchanging personal information perhaps they should have thought about the facebook login scheme first? You can't have it both ways.

I expect this post will probably be deleted and/or my account suspended by the Gestapo officers who monitor these boards, either way i doubt i'll be coming back here any time soon.

I think "Gestapo officers" is a little harsh. The Board Guides are volunteers.

Martin Lewis and his team are the people you should be directing your ire at.

Personally, I don't agree with this particular rule either but I suspect it has been made to cover the backs of Martin Lewis etc rather than being in our best interests.

I cant see why you are directing your anger at geordie ben when he is a fellow member of the forum?
