Hi,
Could anyone please advise how early we should get to a free screening? E.g. starts at 6:30. Just generally, are they normally full up? Do people ever get turned away?
Much appreciated.0 -
Dependent on popularity. For man of steel we got there half hour early as suggested and the cinema only got 75% full. For the avengers I think we'd have been lucky to get a seat if we arrived after the suggested time0

Half an hour before the start time is the general rule, depending on your location really. I'm from Norwich and I like to get there about 45 mins early but I'm usually one of the first to go in!0 -

Most agencies such as Sky and SFF, issue more tickets to compensate for no shows so there are times when people are turned away. There is no guarantee you will be given a ticket in compensation either.
Always best to arrive around 6pm for a 6.3pm show. In fact 30 minutes before start time is advisable no matter what time the film starts.
This can vary depending on the venue. The O2 in London for instance, ask you to arrive earlier.
Also if there is red carpet footage (the next being the One Direction film) different arrangements apply and you will be advised of those.
Always better to arrive early, choose your seat and watch the film than being turned away.0 -

I usually get there about 6:15 and even then they often haven't opened the cinema doors yet. Never had a problem getting a seat and always people arrive at the last minute and get a seat. Never done a big red-carpet showing though.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
