Just seemed a complete "Mess" - film couldn't decide if it was a slap-stick comedy, 'sick' comedy, 'black' comedy, docu-drama....
But for me, it didn't work on any level....
I did have a couple of laughs - but not enough to warrant sitting through the entire film.
When I got home I read some reviews - presume they were watching the same film, so it must be my sense of humour.
Yep, think it is your sense of humour, lots of laughing going on at the cinema I saw Pain and Gain and both my husband and I found it hugely entertaining, especially for a real life story!
It's hard to believe that both the crims and the police were so inept but even allowing for changes made to the story to make it more entertaining, theyu were indeed that inept:rotfl:"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

We went to see Now You See Me last night... I'm a bit 'meh' about it.
Not as good as I was hoping, but defs watchable. I liked the trickery tho. Plus, the french lass was hot0 -

I thought the trickery was excellent, it kept me guessing until the end unlike some films where you can predict virtually eveything and I thought there was some fine acting in it x"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Me too - think the humour was intentional and my mum and daughter both came - ages ranging between 17 and 66 all of whom enjoyed it.0 -

Certificate: 15
Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis and Will Poulter
Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber
David Burke (Sudeikis) is a small - time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids - after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Preferring to keep a low profile for obvious reasons, he learns the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished when he tries to help out some local teens and winds up getting jumped by a trio of gutter punks. Stealing his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to his supplier, Brad (Ed Helms).
In order to wipe the slate clean - and maintain a clean bill of health - David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad’s latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbors, cynical stripper Rose (Aniston) and wannabe customer Kenny (Will Poulter), and the tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen Casey (Emma Roberts), he devises a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny RV later, the “Millers” are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that is sure to end with a bang.
