Had tickets for The Internship at Basingstoke Odeon at 6.30 today, hubbie and son turned up at 6pm and were told they knew nothing about it and the free screening was last night, there had been a mix up! They sent me a reminder on Sunday and it definitely stated 2nd not 1st July. Has anyone else had a similar experience ? Have emailed seefilmfirst to see why this happened.

Definitely listed as a preview today too. Surely more people than your family turned up though?

Other people were there and were told same thing, got there early to make sure got seats so they probably had loads turn up between 6.10 when left and 6.30pm. They sent me an email follow up survey too  hopefully they will respond to my email but probably just apologise. Odeon were useless said basically not their fault and no manager about to discuss with either, unhappy son he really wanted to see this he's 15 and likes this kind of humour.

We nearly had problems at Odeon in Norwich too! They had a preview of The Internship last night (thought it was strange there were two in two days) and weren't expecting more people to turn up tonight! Luckily they were able to find a spare screen to show the film and it started on time. A mix up with Shortlist I assume?

That's bad that the Manager didn't face up to the problem. The thing is they are under no obligation to hand out free tickets but as they would still have the film and the digital key, they should have shown it even at a slightly later time.

I hope you get a reply, you should get vouchers for this error.

Don't let them get away with it.

It's bad customer relations to just send everyone away! You should have been allowed to see another film or they should have sorted out a screen like they did at Norwich.

I repeat, they are under no obligation to provide previewers with another film unless they have an agreement to do so with the media company. Otherwise it will cost the individual cinema money.
