I've been going for years and have only been asked once and that was for Les Mis. Luckily I had the paper as I knew it would be popular, and I also had my parents with me and they'd driven half an hour to be there so didn't want them to get turned away.

Generally though, the cinema ushers can't be bothered collecting newspapers cuttings as well as tickets!
