Thank you - much appreciated replies!

I would definitely go on my own, sometimes it's nice to have your own space too. I've been to coffee shops, shopping etc or just escaping the other half watching rugby. I love it. Sometimes you meet people too :)

We were having this discussion the other day so thought I would ask here also. Is it OK to go to the cinema on your own?

I've been going to preview films for some time now and have always taken someone with me. There a couple of forthcoming movies which I want to see but none of my friends seem to be keen on or cannot make the showing date/time so I'm thinking I don't want to miss out, maybe I go on my own BUT then will I be the one everyone is looking at thinking she's on here own. :undecided

Yes it's fine to go by your self:)

If people get an email saying I have posted on the code thread - apologies.
Just posting about a new code for Hitchcock, but I was a minute after it was posted by someone else, so I immediately deleted mine.

Found the code on HUKD by the way - thanks to djjack
  • I quite often go on my own, when I went to see Jack Reacher a few weeks ago pretty much every one in the screen was on their own.

I went to see Flight on Monday on my own as my partner had to cancel last minute. You may feel a little more self-concious when it is a sold out and free screening, you imagine people look at you and say 'wow that person couldn't even get someone to come to a free showing with them". But in reality no one cares.

I often go to the 10am weekend showings because I live round the corner from the cinema but my friends don't want to get up early on a weekend.

I play for a pool league on a Wednesday night and we don't finish till about 10. I may have to use Cheap Day Tuesday at the Vue instead. Decisions, decisions :T
