I just got some tickets to Let Me Be at the Savoy, but does nanyone know what time you should arrive at venue to guarentee a seat. And also fom past experience does anyone know what sort of view you would get at the theatre with see film first. Is it the really rubbish tickets you pay little for and struggle to see much??? TIA

  • I went to the preview of Flight yesterday, and was disgusted. From the start, it's full on nudity, drug abuse, alcohol etc. I had no idea it was like this and had actually thought the trailer looked good, but I think it was very misleading. Anyway, it was so bad I walked out after a short while.
  • Tell that to the Oscar committee because it is nominated for best picture.

Might I suggest you check what it says on BBFC in future, if you find such things offensive?

    *Cough* Prude *Cough* :P

I thought it was a very good film. I had heard it was crap before I went, and was pleasantly surprised. The whole premise of the film hinges on drug and alcohol abuse so it would have been a pretty useless movie if it had none of that stuff in it.

There is actually a discussion thread for Theatre and Concerts.
You might be better off posting your question there tbh

    Cheers.

I think sometimes I was seeing a notification and just going to the boards which I had open in a tab rather than clicking.

    Thanks for the info.

As long as you are signed in to the forum you don't need to click the link in the email. In fact you could read a different thread and the forum recognises you and will send more alerts.

The problem comes when people post and that post gets deleted. That mucks up the alerts if you haven't checked the relevant thread.

Another reason why chat is discouraged on non discussion threads.
  • Bit of a long shot but ... I'd like tickets to 'This is 40' but am not a Virgin Media customer and was wondering if someone would tell me their acc. no. so that I could apply for tickets?!?!? If you're willing, I'd really appreciate it! DM me

I think perhaps it may be a cause that I see the email notification come in on my phone then check on the computer. So technically I am not signed in on the same device.

I'll do some testing and see how it goes.
