Well this weekend says it all about the diversity of cinema. Life of Pi - fabulous experience, a beautiful film, incredibly well-made (except for something getting through a gate it had no possible way of doing so...), funny, inventive and imaginative.
And then... Perfect Pitch or whatever the hell it was called. Drear, brainless, hey-dudes,-difference-is-good platitudes, with projectile vomiting. A full cinema and about three people laughing, and the worst ending in cinema ever, despite all it said about film endings before then.
Having got tix to see both films twice, I know which one I shall be returning to...0 -
Did you fully understand the twist for life of Pi? I'm not sure as i presume you mean the gate on the boat?0

The magic of Christmas on the silver screen is coming to Liverpool city centre.
For the next three Thursdays the BBC Big Screen in Clayton Square is to show festive classics for free, thanks to City Central BID.
The films, to screened at 12.30pm and again at 4pm, will be:
The Polar Express - December 6
Muppets Christmas Carol – December 13
Miracle on 34th Street (1947) – December 20
The films are part of a free package of festive entertainment to run on a series of ‘Super Thursdays’ to get shoppers in the Christmas spirit.
Really? You may as well watch your neighbours telly from standing outside in the cold. They'll probably have something better on too.0 -
Why is there so much rubbish in the Codes thread these days?I'm getting 5x as many emails as I used to, and most of them are utterly useless - like this Central Perk thing that's been posted with zero information as to where the hell the thing is.0

Go back a few days and read through the emails on here. The information is what people voted for.

Even worse - the latest one isn't even a freebie, but a competition on Facebook. Think someone is trying to prove a point.....0
