The remake is already being discussed!

I saw "Untouchable" (Intouchables) in France in Dec 2011, absolutely brilliant & moving comedy and I agree with all above comments.
It's the 2nd most successfull film in France after "Welcome to the sticks" (Bienvenue chez les ch'tis) if you don't mind subtitled films, I'd recommend that one too, trully hilarious.
I'm hardly surprised a remake will be done, so many great French films are unknown to foreign audiences and in my opinion have been spoilt by idiotic American makeover. This is probably also true to other foreign language films. As for the Untouchable remake, keeping the original French title will add to the novelty!! It's for sure one remake film I won't see when it comes out.0 -
Hi all
Can I just check that we're all convinced that the 'Sweeny' films start at 19.00 as on the tickets?
It'll be the first time I've been to a film that started at 19.00 if it is correct - normally they start at 18.30, for whatever reason. The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
i agree, not really into watching subtitled films save battle royal! It was touch and go for the first 15 mins in Rochdale as the subtitles were cut in half but once they sorted that it was a really good film. I dare say there was a tear or two towards the end!
This is where I was. Spent the whole time thinking 'well we can't complain, it's a free film'. Thankfully, I think the guy sat infront of me was the one who went and told them about it0 -
I'm so glad I wasn't aware Untouchable was subtitled! I've always assumed I'd struggle reading the subtitles and watching the action, but it doesn't take long to get used to and the film was one of the best I've seen recently. I'm converted! Bring on the foreign films0

This afternoon, I've been getting loads of email notifications for posts in the "Free cinema tickets - All New, singing, dancing, cinema-going - Codes only, No chat" thread, but the most recent post i can see is from this morning
Is it just me, or is there a problem?0 -

No not just you was just coming over here to say the same !! Must be a glitch somewhere !0 -
It's more than likely people posting chat on the code only site and the board administrator has deleted them0

I think it's only fair to claim tickets if you do actually want to see the film really.0
-
If you've got people without the intelligence to find out about the film before claiming tickets only to walk out within minutes of seeing subtitles.
Then I'm surprised there's not a large number of people who would selfishly grab them to go and see Ted.
Nearly every cinema showing the Intouchables had tickets left.0
