Hi everyone i have started building my own online store and have started selling on ebay, im not sure how i can get traffic to my store without spending on advertising. I know on this forum we cannot advertise our own websites but does anyone know of any other forums we can advertise on? its a ladies clothing website. Any ideas would be great.

You could put it in your profile though so anyone interested could look at it and get a bit more idea of what you are selling.

May then have an idea or two of where to target promotion.

Many forums do not allow self promotion links and those that do normally limit it to regular members of the forum.

Unless you are just wanting a high count of low value inbound links (in which case hire a spammer who will do that for you for a couple of dollars an hour) then you need to find topics which you are interested in enough to contribute and who's typical demographic matches your target market. Once you've done that you can then look for the forums to join and check their T&Cs

Depends on how you define "free".

If you have no money then you cannot afford cash up front marketing but there are forms of marketing that are either paid for in other ways than cash or are paid for retrospectively with cash. The most obvious form is affiliate marketing where you pay those carrying your advertisement with a percentage of sales revenue they generate normally with a lag time of 28 days or more (plenty of time for you to get the cash for the sale)
