It doesn't look very safe, the only thing that seems to be holding it up is that one corner post,
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I think you need a new builder!!! I would do that by myself in a day including picking materials from merchants, can see he isnt a carpenter,£17 per hour is cheapish I would have charged you 8 hrs at £21 +vat.

Me neither. That's why I don't do it, and stick to things like £300 off my electricity bill and £400 of car/home/contents etc

Then giving it all to the builder to spend down the railway...sorry, couldn't resist!

If I'd built that I'd be embarrassed to charge for the privelege. It looks like a poorly executed training exercise and he should have been paying you for the practrice. No wallplate parallel to roof, timbers not jointed, supporting post inadequate and in entirely the wrong location and who's going to tell me if the flue meets regs now?

    Cheers

Just thought i'd come back to have a look at this thread, I must of been tired when I first looked at the photo as apart from missing what others have mentioned, first thing that strikes me is the look, i'm sure it could of been done with a bit more thought and planning.
