Hi I wonder if anyone can help, I sent a letter to RBS re the PPI on my mastercard asking for a copy of my CCA agreement, I used the standard letter from this website, I then received a letter on Saturday morning stating that they had cut my credit limit from 12,000 to 500. When I contacted them they told me that because of my letter they had done this as they had no paperwork to say I had signed for the credit card and the gentleman on the phone then told me that because of this I could not potentially be liable for any outstanding debt that I could run up. Luckily my balance is nil so therefore would not be an issue. To cut a long story short I was told that I had PPI on my card since 1986 and that they would be looking into it and come back to me?
Can anyone give me any advice on where I stand etc, and do you think I will get my money back, the bank have owned up to this to say they have no paperwork but im not sure if il get my PPI back or not?

If you were mis sold, then you will get redress, they may only go back 6 years, but if you have statements showing ppi before this, then you can send these to them.
Due to the age of the card they will have trouble finding your signed agreement, they may come across this at some stage, but they reduced the limit on the card as they say to err on the side of caution.0
