sterling air--watch out!!

I've just booked a flight with Sterling from Edinburgh to Copenhagen, and although it's a great deal cheaper than everyone else,at every step I was booking online, they were trying to squeeze more out of me,by ticking boxes for text warnings(at a cost)that you have to un-tick,encouraging booking seats(at a cost)and worse of all, charging £18 for paying with visa(and giving no alternative to avoid paying this!)
Be Careful!!
It fairly took the shine of my bargain-hunting.

£18 for paying with visa, is that for 1 passenger?

The only "optional" fee Sterling add on automatically is "picking your seat" which you remove either by unticking on the page or hitting the back button, the fee for CC use is £3 per person per flight.

So not much different from Pikeyair then.

However Sterling's website is AWFUL especially the amount of compulsory information you have to provide and the way it acts if you get information wrong
  • £18 was for 2 adults,a sprog and a mini-sprog.I wonder if they charge you per traveller, rather than per total for the visa.In any case,it did hack me off!

We booked a flight when they first started but they didn't secure the route and they cancelled the flight. It took forever to recover the cost of the flights since they don't answer their emails and the phone is always engaged.
