Eon energy monitor and direct to computer

I have an Eon energy monitor, an Envir Current Cost type.
I can download the data from the monitor to my computer via a USB lead but what I would really like to do is capture the output from the meter transmitter directly to my computer, by-passing the monitor.
I am running Windows 7, I have a VirginMedia supplied Netgear wireless router and a bluetooth adapter, which I use with headphones but it can do more, and also if needed a wireless WIFI adapter.
Is it do-able and has anybody done it?

You can't do it with that equipment.
It's not bluetooth, or wifi, it's a 433MHz low bandwidth link.
In principle, you can get receivers which will allow you to pick this up.
In practice, the existing unit is the cheapest way to do this.

Why?
Why not!
I just wondered if it could be done or if anyone had done it.0
