I've never actually tried to describe myself before so have thought about this for a few days. Here goes.
A purple stripe down the front of my side fringe(sometime's with grey added depending on when the hairdresser is due)Overweight but not hugely, enough to be uncomfortable but that will change by the summer when I will have lost a stone only to put it back on on our holiday!!I think I get away with it most of the time by being 5'9 , that helps.
You won't see me driving very often if I can help it I much prefer my feet,it's not that I don't like driving it's the parking I have to do when I get where I'm going that causes me the problems. My friends have passed lots of comments saying that I would get a nose bleed if I left my home town,I just like notice if I have to go anywhere.I am at my happiest when I am at home with my DH&DD having bbq's and growing my veg.
I've got the smartest clothes I've ever had in my life Per Una,M&S,Wallis etc all from charity shops.Usually a pair of trousers,a top and a very long cardigan or waistcoat(to hide the earlier mentioned weight problem!!) Usual total cost of outfit about £12.
My house is decorated with the nicest things I've ever owned mirrors, big wooden candlesticks etc all from ebay( I love the fact that they are steeped with a mysterious history we will never know)
Music wise I love Aerosmith & Meatloaf and most soft rock.
I am also going to make myself a pin with some purple ribbon and will look out for others,I work in a shop and I often wonder about some people if they are on here.
Oh one more thing about myself I am not half as eccentric as I would actually like to be but I'm working on that one.0 -

I really want a cloak.....i find coats cumbersome, especially in the evening. I don't know where to start with a pattern....If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Just having a laugh cos I have a favorite broach that is fashioned out of a... wait for it... nappy pin :rotfl::rotfl:
Guess that gives me automatic membership of the sensible but daft but endearing group that lives on here.
Here goes: tall, overweight, smiley (when not militant), scruffy (I do try to find the energy for one shower a week), ride a harley style mobility scooter with small boy in front and often to be found searching in the whoopsie cabinet, I'm really difficult to fit so I used to make most of my clothes but now rely on gossypium and crave for basics and oddies from charity shops/ ebay/ hand me downs for the rest. Like to cook from scratch but not good at it LOLEat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
48 down, 22 to go
Low carb, low oxalate Primal + dairy
From size 24 to 16 and now stuck...0 -
As everyone is REALLY describing themselves now - small, long dark hair, occasionally with the grey dyed out when I can be bothered - live in jeans and trainers and the ubiquitous black top unless a) I'm going out, then the trainers change to boots or b) I'm down in Devon in summer, then the jeans change to shorts. Then I'm often to be found traipsing round the East Devon countryside. In fact, I'm a completely different person down there
Here - going across the road to the shops is a huge chore
Eyebrow piercing and labret piercings which I LOVE, would like a nose piercing but my nose is hideously huge and I don't want to draw any more attention to it than necessary! One tattoo on my shoulder, a red star, faded and un-touched up as the girl who did it tragically died shortly after doing it. :(Still carrying 2 stone of baby weight from my last pregnancy er......14 years ago:D
Opinionated, but often don't have the energy to argue or the memory to back up my arguments with facts! Often dismayed and depressed at the state of the world. Very few friends my own age but get on great with my DDs mates aged 18-21, have a lot of fun with them and good conversation! Always out-party the young-uns:p
Extremely shy until I've had a few drinks then I'll chat away to anyone and everyone:o and sometimes argue with them if they offend me! Stone cold sober, which is the vast majority of the time, I'm very self conscious and find most people intimidating.
Oh - and long term single and set in my very messy ways0 -
5`5 slightly overweight with red, ginger ,grey and white hair (refuse to dye it again after nasty reaction) normally found wearing a black coat with a black and grey scarf jeans and trainers and a rather funky handbag i was talked into buying in spain stood gazing into shop windows of clothes i cant fit into to or if im heard before im seen its something along the lines of "kids ,kids come back ive only got little legs " or muttering "answer your @@@@@@ phone (normally when dh has done a runner in supermarkets)0

Since it started snowing today, you'd know me now!. I'm the one with on the sled that's being pulled by our siberian husky. LOL!.. Picked up the little one from school today with the dogsled. She absolutely loved it!. So did the dog btw. He goes nuts in snow. Loves it to bits. And especially when he gets to run and pull the sled.
Went for a little shop as well.. stacked the groceries on the sled and back home we went. Got a lot of looks on the way.. some people even stopped me and asked if they could take our picture! lol!0 -

Covered in dog hair/mud splashes - Check No
Trailing poo bags - check No
Rummaging by the reduced stuff...or heading through the door of a shop with a sale sign up - Check Yes
Has calculator in hand - check No
"Innapropriate" loud music in the car - Have fads...last one was Prince, currently Maroon 5also like Bon Jovi - Check Definitely inappropriate and loud

There's always exceptions - LOL
I am 5'7 and reasonably slim, not at all an animal lover in that i wouldn't have one. Wouldn't hurt one though and love "nature" and "wildlife". Music tastes very broad - musical theatre, through cheesy pop, through to soft rock with a sprinkling of people most have never heard of. Rather more opinionated than I should be with an irreverant and somewhat "black" sense of humour often based on that good old british tradition of taking the p*ssCan be a little self righteous but not as bad as a woman on the train a couple of days ago.
I am lovin this thread - now i've gotta go make a pie out of leftovers :rotfl:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Today I was the one with DD and grandson in the Metrocentre who didn't cry too much ( the grandson that is ! ) However , he did scream his head off in Sainsbury . I'd walked away from him and DD to get something and heard a woman say " that child needs a good smack " We would have been the ones taken away by social services if DD had indeed given him a good smack !!0

I'm the one who is found outside the shop giving a pat to the patient dog/s waiting outside.. then to be found taking photos of book covers (so I can order online via the library website when I get home) . I'm the strange woman that sidles up to people prior to the 75% Boots sale start date to tell them to wait ... and to join MSE, also found in other shops advising students about MSE. I have turned into a one woman warrior.... knowing that there is an army of others out there doing the same thing
At home I am the facebook MSE link queen to friends and also tend to get a little bit peeved when Martin makes a typo and gets loads of comments correcting him... for gods sake its a typo/spelling mistake...0
