Fantasic resort, beautiful beach and an perfect sized villa for your family and only £400 per week in April.

That looks lovely Felix... but a bit big for us (me & dh) plus we need to go in school hols (I'm a teacher) so will be expensive in August :(
How did you find this site and do you have any more tips for us to find something similar but smaller/cheaper please?

As a portuguese ex-pat now living here in the UK, I'd second (third?) Lagos and Carvoeiro but I'd also add one of my favourite places in the Algarve: Tavira.

Stay away from Albufeira, imho.

    Have a good time.

Nenen - Try https://www.algarvevillaholidays.co.uk They have plenty of places of various sizes some with private pools.
  • Many thanks for all your replys,

    well we've finally booked it,

got flights from ba, a 3 bed villa with own pool and garden in carvoeiro £365 for the week, so under £1k ! (portland wanted £1300 for a small apt)

so excited, as never done algarve, and all the info on it sounds nice and it looks so clean compared to the canaries

roll on 6 weeks time :rotfl:

That's a good price for a 3 bed villa, well done!
You will have a great time in Carvoeiro, we have been a number of times and love it (I would gladly move there!) there are lots of places to eat out and if you feel like staying at the villa there are a few takeaway places (Pizza, Chinese, Indian, Chicken(Frango) & Chips), our little boy loves the train that goes from the square around the town.
Zoo Marine is great. Slide & Splash is the best water park, though queues can be long, but I don't know if it would be so long in March.
There are a few beaches, all of them good.
Hope you have a fab time! :D

I agree with sertav - Tavira is lovely - one of my favourite places. The Camera Obscura is good fun :)
