Npower winter fix - no penalty if switch
Hi all
Not often you get a pleasent surprise when ringing a utility company but I rang this morning as I had just received my latest bill and my payments were going to be increased.
I couldn't remember what the penalty was to get out of the winter fix tariff and I had found a cheaper tariff. Anyway the nice woman at Npower told me that they were waiving the penalty for people who had taken the winter fix tariff if they wanted to change to a new one in light of the price decrease - basically because this current decrease was so unexpected. She said this waiver was until 31st March.
Not sure if this waiver applies for all tariffs but it might be worth checking.
