natwest blue account changing to silver

i got a email to say it changing to the silver account and charging a extra £1.05 a month (totalling £8) but they have taken away all the benefit i use and giving me nothing worth it in return
im losing
ticket service which i get around £400 cashback a year
railcard worth £26
breakdown cover worth around £30 a month
and other i dont use but it worth around £1000 a year to me
it being replaced by
hmv digital download 5 tracks a month worth around £4
and love film 3 disc a month worth £6
so the lots worth around £100 so only 10% what it worth

it is easy to cancel my account and why have they taking away all the benefits i pay for

They obviously changed it because people were getting too much out of the account for not enough premium back =/

The bank re-branded there accounts back in July 2011.

The options available to you now are keep the account you have or down grade to the basic account (restricted ATM access).

Alternatively you can apply for the Select account at no cost to yourself.

Close your account and go elsewhere. Plenty of other banks to choose from and some decent added value accounts. I favour the offering from LTSB and the Halifax Ultimate Reward personally.

tried to cancel on the phone and they said as they couldnt prove i am who i said i was i couldnt downgrade to the select account yet never got ask for proof of who i was in the bank
