Parking at Dublin airport

  • Myself and my wife went to the states for 3 weeks, stayed at the City North Hotel on the motorway - Dublin side of Drogheda. Payed 70 euro for a room, that including parking and pick up set down service. We went down the night before had a relaxing night, then left early the next day.

Food was great, and the service for pick up set down was very good and efficient - not long to wait.

    Great place - was delighted.

    You mean this one? http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2011/09/travelodge.html

    ...which is ONE incident?

Or do you mean this one?

    from 2006.

And if you look, you'll see it's pretty clearly stated on their website:

HOW CAN YOU CALL THIS "PRETTY CLEARLY STATED" IF ITS HIDDEN IN THE HELP PAGE OF THE SITE, WHY WOULD I GO TO A HELP PAGE UNLESS I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY BOOKING?

For me, if they're not expecting you to pay in full in advance, it makes perfect business sense to overbook to a certain degree, just like the airlines do. So it's up to you to call in advance to re-confirm.

IT REALLY WOULD NOT MATTER WHICH LINK I WAS TALKING ABOUT AS NEITHER WOULD DO ANYTHING TO PROMOTE THE HOTEL.

I THINK WE WILL JUST HAVE TO AGREE TO DISAGREE ON THIS ONE. i WILL CONTINUE TO BOOK ANYWHERE EXCEPT TRAVEL LODGE AS I HAVE NEVER HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF BOOKING A HOTEL WITH ANYONE ELSE ONLY TO TURN UP & BE TOLD THAT I WILL HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL.

Have you ever actually had that experience at Travelodge?
