I've just been informed by the agency that the tax rebate shouldnt of been held back so I will be receiving that back this week on top of my pay.

And no, I didnt claim job seekers or do any other type of work in between this job and the job I left in november.

    But that £228.04 is correct

sorry, i've just remembered that they took a £50 deposit for a security pass I have to use here. Would that be why it doesn't match up? :o

Will I need to tell the tax office that I wasnt working since November untill Jan 17th? Do I need to backdate job seekers or anything like that?

I obviously want to do everything by the book but not sure if its all right, just want to make sure.

    Thanks so much

Do you know what the £50 deduction was for? It is not listed in your breakdown other than in total deductions?

All is explained. The tax office may ask, at some point, what you were doing between jobs as it will eventually show as a gap in their records with you having no employment or benefits, but no need for you to contact them at the moment.
